FAQs

How do I know that you are the right stylist for me?

Please look through my work to make sure I am the right fit for you @sarahlouisehair.bridal. I love ponytails, glamour waves and sleek buns.

On your big day, I will bring calm and happy vibes to help you relax and feel comfortable.

How many people can you look after on a wedding day?

I can confidently work with up to 6 people per booking.

For bigger bridal parties, I can offer a second stylist who aligns with me, subject to availability.

Do you have a minimum booking cost?

During peak wedding season (Dec-Mar) we have a minimum booking of $500. This is typically the cost of one bride, two bridesmaids plus travel.

Do you travel outside of Queenstown?

Yes I do, travel is based at $1.50 per km from 12 Hylton Place.

Accommodation may need to be provided the night before for early starts or 100+ kms.

How long should I allow for hairstyling on the wedding day?

I allow one hour for *most* bridal styling, and 45-60 minutes for bridesmaids and guests.

Do you charge less for short hair/blow waves?

I charge a flat fee for all hairstyling, this includes short hair and blow waves.

Are you available to start before 8am?

If an earlier start time is required, an early morning fee will apply.

Are you available for a Sunday or Public Holiday?

Yes, I can accommodate bookings but an additional fee will apply.

Can I make changes after accepting the booking?

Once you have paid the booking fee, services cannot be removed. Additional services can always be added at a later date.

When is payment due?

The total cost of the booking is paid over 2 payments.

First is the non-refundable/non-transferable booking fee to secure your wedding day. The second is due one month before your wedding day when we are finalising numbers, timings and location.

Is my trial included?

No. As many of our brides are having destination weddings there is often not time for a trial. For this reason, if you require a trial this is an additional fee.

Do I have to have a trial?

No. I am happy to work with you on the day to create the bridal hair of your dreams. If you are not having a trial, we will liaise through email to ensure we can get the most from your hair on the day.

Where will my trial be?

Your trial can be held in salon (12 Hylton Place). Please be aware that due to space restrictions, I ask that only the bride is to attend the appointment. Please allow 1.5 hours per trial.

If you would like someone to attend your trial with you we recommend having your trial at your accommodation.

What extensions do you recommend?

Depending on the style you are after, we recommend Zala or Superior Hair. Send us an email so that we can guide you in the right direction.
